I was absolutely amazed at how bright this little lantern was.It is on the small side but the bright light proves to be just as good as a huge lantern.I love the small frame of this lantern as it does not take up a lot of room.You can leave this lantern sitting outside under the direct sun and it gets a full charge. Which will save you tons of money by not having to buy batteries.This to me is also considered environmentally helpful.However,this lantern can still be ran off batteries.Alternate ways of charging is by using 3 AAA batteries.Either way you are getting a good strong bright light .This lantern is perfect for those camping trips. It is even great to keep in your vehicle in case of emergencies.Either way,this lantern is well made.It is durable ,has a 8-10 hour charging time if using solar to charge.This is what I call a free charge if that makes sense.This lantern has a little hanger for you to hang it up on a pole or even a tree limb.
