These active wear shorts for me are made very nice.They have a rather slick type feeling to them and both sides of the shorts have pockets.The pockets are not very deep and are not as deep as I would have expected.These shorts fit my hubby pretty well but they did seem to be a tad on the smaller size. He wears a 2xl comfortably and these shorts seemed to be a bit snug but not so much that they were uncomfortable to wear or snug enough that he could not bend or move comfortably.These shorts come right at the knee on my hubby and he is 6'7.So they are a pretty decent length and would be past knee length on a shorter man. These shorts come in several different colors for you to pick from and they range in sizes small to a 2xl.These shorts are on the thinner side so you will not get as hot in them.These shorts look great and feel great on my hubbys skin and I tried them on and loved how they fit me as well.So I do believe these could be worn by any gender even though they are typically for men.
